The Vision
J.D. Greear, pastor of The Summit Church in Raleigh-Durham, NC and author of several books, along with the team at The Summit Church contacted CSD to provide AVLA and broadcast technology for their new Capital Hills Campus. When CSD joined the project it was understood that they were replacing a previous company and the project was already underway. CSD worked quickly to understand the client's vision and develop systems that exceeded expectations while meeting the project budget. Their vision was to create an environment that would communicate well and could be used as one of the main broadcast points for all of their other campuses.
Designing the Vision
Part of designing the vision was to create a completely immersive, distraction-free environment. CSD designed the look and feel of the room using three large LED screens as well as house and stage lighting to create visual connection between the stage and the congregation. In addition to the look of the room, CSD incorporated the first ever d&b Soundscape 360-degree immersive audio system in a house of worship. This loudspeaker system is a game changer in regards to the auditory experience of the room, adding to the entire immersive experience of the room.
Executing the Vision
The end result is a state-of-the-art sanctuary with a full broadcast suite including separate audio and video rooms, 360-degree audio experience, immersive visual elements including colored house lights, LED wall, and theatrical lighting systems. All of these things work together to create a transparent audio visual experience for those that attend, pointing their focus to the message of the Gospel.
