Dear CSD:
As you know, we recently completed a 36,000 square foot expansion of our church. I want
to thank you for the work your company did in providing Audio-Video-Lighting to both our
new sanctuary and our new youth amphitheater. Doug Hood did a fantastic job for us from
the very beginning of our planning process. I really felt like his mission was to help us with
our mission, which is to enable others to come to Jesus. He worked exceptionally hard listening
to our budgetary restraints, desires and ideas. He was very flexible. We sought to
create a space that looked like a sanctuary but acted like a theater. There aren’t many prototypes
for this but he helped us create one. I remember, once calling him and talking to him
late at night while he was at a baseball game. He was very patient during that conversation
trying to explain to us our various options. We must have been with him on the phone for
about an hour. He also traveled to our site on a few occasions to talk through details with
our building committee, architect and construction company. On one occasion, he noticed
that the construction company was about to pour our worship platform even though the conduit
and sound boxes were not in place yet. He quickly had the sound boxes shipped to the
site in time for the pour. At the end of the project, as 20 million pieces were coming together
all at once, your company provided the necessary manpower to finish all that had to
be done in a very narrow timeframe. You really came through for us. Many of your employees
were here until the early hours of the morning on several occasions making sure we
were ready for our first services in our sanctuary and in our “Underground”. We were able
to deliver on our promise to our congregation of opening on time in large measure to your
diligence. The sound, video and lighting in both spaces are excellent thanks to your hard
work. Thanks again!

This is to recommend Doug Hood and his company, Custom Sound Designs, to you as your vendor/contractor for your church.
Doug and CSD were brought into our construction project after the original AVL designer withdrew for personal reasons.
Doug and his team did a phenomenal job of working with the existing design as well as reworking this design to better fit
the needs and uses of our church. CSD provided AVL services for our sanctuary, youth building, and two systems for two large
rooms in our children’s building.
CSD was expeditious in the installation as we were working against a tight deadline for moving into our new facilities.
The team of installers was thorough and worked well with our electrical contractor in getting the job done. This team was
also present for our first two services just to make sure we did not have any problems with the systems.
CSD also did a very good job of training our AVL team on the usage and capabilities of the system we bought from them. In fact,
they returned for additional training after the fourth week of services just to make certain all of our questions were answered.
I have found Doug to be very accessible and easy to work with both during and after our construction project was completed. I can
easily recommend CSD church’s need

Working with Custom Sound Design has been a great experience. I really
appreciated how Doug, and the rest of the staff at CSD were very open to ideas that
I had, and patient in finding a way to make my ideas a reality while at the same

At the start of the design phase, I was always informed of the schedule of events,
and new products that were options for us. The coolest thing about working with
CSD was the one on one relationship between Doug and I. He made me feel like I

When the install started, the crew was extremely professional in all aspects.
They worked extra hours, and even changed things in the middle of the install

schedule.
I continue my relationship with CSD to this day, and will continue to do business
with them for years to come. Custom Sound Design's service and attention to
detail are second to none. I also appreciate the very good prices I get
from CSD with gear, as we continue to be blessed and grow as a church. In our
future plans of expansion, we will be using Custom Sound Design for all of our
